P. B.1 StarI Put my watch in for battery replacement thinking it would be cheaper than £10 cost at jewellers. On returning to collect my watch the assistant very happily gave me a card & informed me that all future battery replacements would be free. The cost was £25!!!!!!!!
If the assistant had informed me of the standard charge of £25 I definitely would not of used this service as £25 is a HUGE chunk of cash out of my meagre income.
I am now hoping that the watch & myself & Timpsons last at least six years so I can see some return on this financially crippling £25 investment. Very shocked, unhappy & about to struggle to manage the next two months financially due to the inability of Timpsons to inform customers of £25 standing charge for a watch battery. Absolutely shocked, crushed & worried about how I now manage my finances after being 'mugged' at Timpsons-Morrisons-New BrightonWednesday 20th September 2023
